Event Summary

The Boyd Lake Spring Splash, is a late spring Colorado swim race.  Participants have the opportunity to swim a 1.2 mile race, a 2.4 mile race or a 5K race.  Participants swimming the 1.2 mile as well as either the 2.4 or 5K swim races will receive a discount.  Awards will be given out to the top three finishers in each division for each race.  Divisions will be both non-wetsuit and wetsuit for both men and women for each race.


Race day registration - Cash or Personal Check only. Must bring valid I.D. for check in.

1.2 Mile Competitive Swim (Timed – 13 year minimum age)
2.4 Mile Competitive Swim (Timed – 16 year minimum age)
5 Kilometer Competitive Swim (Timed – 16 year minimum age)

Time cut-offs:
All swimmers must be capable of completing the distance you have entered and must be able to complete your respective event within the given cut-off time.

1.2 Miles – 1 hour

2.4 Miles – 2.5 hours
5K – 2.5 hours


We will have a mass beach start for each event.

Race Packet Pickup will begin at 5:00am.

Race Day Registration will be available (cash or check only).

From SW: Take 287 North to S Boise Ave/S Co Rd 1 H in Larimer County. Continue on S Boise Ave. Drive to N Co Rd 11C.

From SE: Take 25N to US-34 W in Loveland. Take exit 257 from 25N. Follow US-34W and N Boise Ave to N Co Rd 11C.

From North: Take 287 South. Turn left on E 57th Street. Turn right on N Co Rd 11C.

Please bring a copy of your receipt – you will not have to pay an entrance fee at the front gate with proof of entry in the race!
